We have been made aware that certain Bluetooth keyboards that were previously working in Engine DJ version 4.0.0 are no longer visible in the Bluetooth pairing menu after updating to version 4.1.0 and higher. This behavior arises from the additional filtering we implemented to support Bluetooth Output devices as of 4.1.0.
The filtering process is necessary to determine the Bluetooth class of the device, such as whether it is a speaker, phone, computer, or other types, in order to allow or deny its connection. That being said, some generic manufacturers of keyboards, particularly cheaper models, may not provide the correct class information to our system. As a result, these keyboards may no longer be detected by the device after the update.
If you are experiencing this behavior with your Bluetooth keyboard, we recommend trying a different keyboard that provides the necessary class information for compatibility with Engine DJ version 4.1.0 and higher.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to improve the overall Bluetooth device compatibility in our system.
