Introducing Engine DJ 5.0 - On-Board Stems Rendering for the RANE SYSTEM ONE

Engine DJ today announced the launch of Engine DJ 5.0, available as a free update on Engine DJ OS embedded hardware and Engine DJ Desktop. Leading innovation for standalone DJ software, Engine DJ 5.0 delivers on-board Stems rendering for the RANE SYSTEM ONE along with RGB waveforms, track star ratings, FX improvements, and more to the entire Engine DJ hardware range.

“5.0 is packed with features,” said Director of Development at Engine DJ, Tom Stoffer. “Some are direct requests from our users, while others support the new open-format DJ workflows we’re introducing to Engine.”

ON-BOARD STEMS RENDERING FOR RANE SYSTEM ONE

Leveraging the power of Engine DJ’s FX, performance functions, and stems, RANE SYSTEM ONE launched earlier this year as the world’s first standalone system with motorized platters. Now, with Engine DJ 5.0, SYSTEM ONE drives innovation further as the first and only DJ hardware with the power to render stems without a computer.

New on-board stems rendering gives DJs access to 4-part Stems whenever and wherever inspiration strikes. DJs can choose to either pre-render their saved tracks for Stems with Engine DJ Desktop or render for Stems directly on the SYSTEM ONE. The Tracks can be played at the same time they are rendering for Stems, and multiple tracks and playlists can be rendered for stems simultaneously.

RGB WAVEFORMS FOR ALL ENGINE DJ HARDWARE

Initially introduced with the RANE SYSTEM ONE, multi-colored RGB waveforms now are available as an option for all Engine DJ hardware users. DJs can switch between RGB waveforms and the traditional “Triband” Engine DJ waveforms in the settings menu. RGB waveforms are also available on Engine DJ Desktop, providing greater visual guidance to DJs as they prep their sets on their computer.

TRACK STAR RATINGS

With Engine DJ 5.0, all users now can add star ratings for tracks directly on their Engine DJ hardware. This feature, combined with Engine DJ’s intuitive library sorting and filtering options, helps DJs find their go-to tracks quickly, no matter which playlist they live in.

AVAILABILITY

Engine DJ 5.0 OS and Desktop are available now for free download.

Supported hardware users can download Engine DJ OS directly from their device via Wi-Fi or wired connection.
