Introducing Denon DJ PRIME 4 G2

Denon DJ® today announced the launch of PRIME 4 G2, a 4-channel, 4-deck standalone DJ system built for performance-driven DJs who rely on creativity to craft their own sound. Expanding on the platform that made the original PRIME 4 a staple for mobile, club, and event DJs, PRIME 4 G2 pairs industry-first multi-zone performance pads with onboard Stems rendering, built-in lighting control, and full-size jog wheels with center visuals, giving DJs a complete four-deck standalone experience that adapts to any setting, from vibey daytime parties to energetic evening events.

INDUSTRY-FIRST PERFORMANCE TECHNOLOGY

PRIME 4 G2 introduces MPCe multi-zone performance pads, the first of their kind in a standalone DJ system. The 16 velocity- and pressure-sensitive pads use 3D-sensing technology to combine multiple functions and parameters within a single pad, quadrupling the triggering options available for Hot Cues, Stems, Rolls, FX, and lighting control, and letting DJs perform in ways that simply aren't possible with any other equipment on the market.

The G2 also builds on the PRIME 4 platform with full-size 8-inch jog wheels featuring dynamic LED displays, a multi-function navigation encoder, redesigned premium dual-rail faders, and a 10.1-inch HD multi-touch display. An 8-core ARM processor and 4GB of RAM give PRIME 4 G2 four times the processing power of the previous generation for faster library navigation, onboard Stems rendering, and smoother overall performance.

Lighting control is fully integrated as well: an onboard 3-pin DMX output, powered by SoundSwitch, gives DJs direct control of DMX lighting systems without external hardware or dongles, with hands-on control of color, position, strobe, intensity, and more available right from the MPCe pads.

PRIME 4 G2 is designed for professional mobile DJs, weddings and private events, nightclubs, bars and lounges, festival stages, and livestreaming and content creation. With its future-ready OmniSource system architecture, PRIME 4 G2 moves fluidly between saved media on USB drives, SD cards, or an optional internal SATA drive, and software sources including Serato DJ Pro, Algoriddim djay, and VirtualDJ, unifying standalone and software-based DJing in one system (OmniSource software support coming soon). Built-in Wi-Fi connects DJs directly to Amazon Music Unlimited, Apple Music, Beatport, SoundCloud Go+, and TIDAL onboard, while three dedicated Playlist Banks give instant access to favorite saved media, streaming, or software playlists.
